Platform Man, Hand-painted, forcefully twisted rope, torn flag, torn camouflage garment, digital printing on cotton fabric, wood, wheels, tin cup 8.75" x 17.75" x 17.5"

Platform Man was a familiar site on the New York subways in the 1970's. He had only half a body, the other half lost by a mine in Vietnam. Forgotten by the country he served, he was forced to ride on his wood platform maneuvering it with his gloved hands and begging with his tin cup.
